Born in Caracas, Venezuela. Lived in France, Denmark, Canada  Spain and United State. She began her photographic studies in 1971 under photographer José Sigala at the Design Institute of the Neumann Foundation in Caracas. She followed studies in New York where she had the support and training of photographer Ralph Gibson; workshops and seminars at the International Center of Photography.

She related herself as an adviser assigned by the Sofia Imber Museum of Contemporary Art of Caracas, with photographers Robert Mapplethorp, Adal Maldonado, Larry Clark, Mary Allen Mark, Gwen Thomas, and Neal Slavin.

Her artistic work has been shown at museums and galleries such as the Sofia Imber Museum of Contemporary Art of Caracas, São Paulo Museum of Beaux Arts, Mario Abreu Museum of Beaux Arts of Maracay, Sacred Museum of Caracas; at the following galleries: National Art Gallery, Adler-Castillo, Minotauro, Mendoza Hall, Vía, Siete-Siete; at the III Biennale of Visual Arts of Centro Cultural Consolidado, Primer Plano Gallery in Barcelona, Spain, XIX Rencontre Latino-Américaine of Photography at Arles, France; I FotoFest Medellin Colombia; Center for Inter American Relations, New York, Rizzoli Galley, New York and Photo Gallery, New York

At t he beginning of her career she did a series of works for advertising agencies such as ABC, ARS and Vapro, in Caracas where she was awarded the ANDA advertising prize in photography for the advertising campaign known as "The Authentic" (client: Jean Marie Farina). She taught photography courses at the Design Institute of the Neumann Foundation in Caracas. Subsequently, she centered her professional activity in commercial, architectural, interior design, fashion, works of arts and pictures. She worked as photography coordinator for the presidential campaign headquarters of two of her country's presidents.

She was part of the founding team of the Olavarría Editorial Group, for the opinion magazine "Resumen". She was also part of the founding team and belongs to the drafting committee of the Venezuela Analítica on-line publication where she is the director of the Art and Culture" section.

She participates in special projects domestically and abroad. She is a member of the editorial team of the "Extra Cámara" Venezuelan photography magazine.
